Another week of the 2025 College Football season is in the books, and Week 13 provided us with a ton of historic moments for several programs.
Here is a summary of some of the craziest stats and records from Week 13:
North Texas defeated Rice 56-24. The Mean Green improved to 10-1, earning their first 10-win season since 1947 and their first 10-win season as an FBS program.
North Texas scored 50+ points for the sixth time this season, their most 50+ point games in a single season in program history.
North Texas’ 56 points are their most in a road game since 1951.
North Texas’ 8 touchdowns scored vs. Rice brought their season total to 68, surpassing their 1951 record (64) for the most touchdowns in a single season in program history.
North Texas WR Wyatt Young accounted for 295 receiving yards, breaking the American Conference’s record for receiving yards in a single game. Those 295 receiving yards are the most by any FBS player this season.
#9 Notre Dame defeated Syracuse 70-7. The Irish’s 70 points are their most scored in a game since 1932.
Notre Dame’s 63-point margin of victory over Syracuse is their largest since 1966.
Kansas State running back Joe Jackson rushed for 293 yards against #12 Utah, breaking Darren Sproles’ record for the most rushing yards in a single game in Kansas State program history.
Kansas State and Utah accounted for 764 combined rushing yards. That is the first time two teams have combined for 750+ rushing yards in a single game since 2022.
Texas quarterback Arch Manning became the first Longhorn QB in program history to account for a passing touchdown, rushing touchdown, and a receiving touchdown in a single game.
Pitt led #16 Georgia Tech 28-0 early in the first half of their matchup. That was their largest lead vs. a ranked team since 2005. Pitt eventually upset the Yellow Jackets 42-28 to keep their ACC title and CFP hopes alive.
#10 Alabama defeated FCS Eastern Illinois 56-0. The Tide allowed just 34 total yards, their fewest yards allowed in a game since 1962 and their 4th fewest yards allowed in a game in program history.
Alabama rushed for 8 touchdowns against Eastern Illinois, their most in a game since 1979 (9 vs. Vanderbilt).
NC State defeated Florida State 31-11. The Wolfpack has now won 4 consecutive games against the Seminoles, their longest win streak vs. FSU in program history.
NC State improved to 6-5, becoming bowl eligible for a 6th consecutive season, their longest streak of 6+ win seasons since 1998-2003.
Auburn defeated FCS Mercer 62-17. Freshman quarterback Deuce Knight accounted for 6 total touchdowns, the most in an Auburn QB’s starting debut in program history.
Deuce Knight’s 6 total touchdowns are the most in a single game by an Auburn player since 1969.
#14 Vanderbilt defeated Kentucky 45-17. The Commodores finish undefeated at home for the first time since 1982.
Vanderbilt’s victory over Kentucky allowed them to improve to 9-2. This is their first 9-win regular season since 1915.
#24 Tulane defeated Temple 37-13. The Green Wave improved to 9-2, earning their 4th consecutive 9-win season, their longest such streak in program history.
#1 Ohio State defeated Rutgers 42-9. The Buckeyes improve to 11-0 all-time vs. the Scarlet Knights.
Tennessee defeated Florida 31-11 on the road in Gainesville. The Volunteers snapped their 10-game losing streak in The Swamp, winning there for the first time since 2003.
Wisconsin defeated #21 Illinois 27-10. Paired with their victory over #23 Washington two weeks ago, the Badgers have now beaten multiple CFP-ranked teams in a single season for the first time since 2019.
Wisconsin has defeated two ranked teams at home while unranked for the first time since 1981.
Penn State running back Nick Singleton scored his 43rd career rushing touchdown during a victory over Nebraska, tying Saquon Barkley’s record for the most career rushing touchdowns in program history.
Northwestern defeated Minnesota 38-35, earning their 6th win of the year and becoming bowl eligible. Northwestern head coach David Braun became the first head coach in Northwestern program history to take the Wildcats to a bowl game twice in his first three seasons.
UConn defeated FAU 48-45. The Huskies finish the regular season 9-3, their best record since 2007.
Paired with last season’s 9-4 record, UConn has now won 9 games in back-to-back seasons for the first time as an FBS program.
Clemson defeated Furman 45-10, improving to 6-5. The Tigers are bowl eligible for a 27th consecutive season.
#8 Oklahoma defeated Missouri 17-6. The Tigers lost their 19th consecutive game on the road in Norman. The last time Missouri beat Oklahoma in Norman was 1966.
